Becoming a Teen Mom

Being a mother is not an easy thing whether you 16 or 26, your age doesn't define you. However, younger mothers like teens, get treated with no respect, are pushed around, and not taken serious in some cases like my friend for example. She was always the type of person who was strong, independent, and a survivor. Through all the obstacles in her life, she never gave up on life and the many struggles she faced daily. Even through the darkest days she would still push through somehow. Shes really one of the many people who inspires me and gives me hope to believe in.
It all started at such a young age, 19. The day she found out she was pregnant was the most happiest but yet saddest day. Only because she felt like she would go through it alone, because she wasn't sure if the father would be pleased. Also, because she had not much of an income, and she faces challenges daily, throughout her life. She was never much of a fortunate child, she had to struggle for the things she earned. Needless to say, she didn't want her child to go through the same things she did. She  felt so many different emotions at that time. Though, above it all she would always rise, and all she knew was that no matter the circumstance, there was no chance of giving up the baby. She was so sure of keeping it, without a doubt, no matter what anybody had said. And that was one of the many things I liked about her. She was strong minded, and if she set her mind to something then there was no one who could change that. Taking care of a child was a responsibility she was willing to take on. She was more then happy.
In addition, the babies father is in her life and planning on taking care of his responsibility. Life for her now has never been better, shes working, going to school, and carrying that wonderful child in her. As always she's still staying strong, and as a matter of fact she's excelling very well in her classes, which I am truly proud of her.
