Growing up I was the only girl with 3 brothers. I never really liked girls and I was a big tom boy. Ever since I was little I always wanted another baby brother, cousin, nephew or any family member as long it was a boy. My brother is 2 years older than me, and as we got older I knew the day was coming closer ! When my brother was 16 he started dating a lovely girl named Brandi. They were together for about two years until she got pregnant. When I heard the news I think I was the happiest out of everybody, I knew it was going to be a boy :) As the days went on, her belly was getting bigger and bigger. I went to almost all of her check ups. The most exciting one, besides the one where we found out it was boy, was where we saw the baby in 3D. He looked so real, his heart beat was so loud and he was such a healthy baby. Each day was such a long wait for him to be born. I was so anxious to meet the little man! Two days before Valentines Day she was rushed to the hospital at 9 PM. When I heard the news I rushed to the hospital and waited in the lobby anxiously. 2 hours went by and I was getting nervous, asking "Is the baby okay? Is she okay? When will he be here?" I bugged my mom every 10 minutes with 21 questions. The wait was finally over at 2:16AM, one day before Valentine's Day Talon Anthony Romero was born! The labor was rough because he weighed 8lbs and 10oz and she was so little. Everybody was in such excitement when he was born, he was perfect! (besides his disformed head from the suction vacuum they had to use to get him out).
For the first few months I would cancel plans just to take care of my nephew. To this day I am more than excited to spend time with my nephew. His generation seems to be getting smarter and smarter. He learned everything so quickly and efficiently. Now, almost 3 years old he can talk to you for hours about anything and everything. I am more than excited to see him grow up. As he grows I see how his features relate to his parents. His eyes, chin, and head structure come from his mom. His nose, smile and ears come from his dad. Having this little boy in my life has been such a blessing.
