Lung Cancer

When I was young my family and I lived in Compton, Ca we were surrounded by all our loved ones but our financial situation wasn't as great. My parents than decided it was time to move to Tucson, AZ where my dad had a job offering. We packed all of our things and headed to Arizona leaving all our friends and family behind. Everything was so different the environment, weather, community, and we only had ourselves. Our house was empty since we had to leave everything behind, the only thing we brought was our clothes.
A few months passed by, our house wasn't as empty, my sister and I made new friends in school, and my parents were financially stabled. One day my mom received a phone call from my grandmother, my aunt had being diagnosed with Lung Cancer. My aunt had  been smoking for more than 30 year and never went to the doctors for her yearly check ups, and when she did the doctors were unable to control it.

Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in one or both lungs. These abnormal cells do not carry out the functions of normal lung cells and do not develop into healthy lung tissue. As they grow, the abnormal cells can form tumors and interfere with the functioning of the lung, which provides oxygen to the body via the blood.

My aunts diagnosis affected my family greatly. My mom decided to move back to Compton, Ca for the remaining time of her life; which left my dad, sister, and I responsible for everything while she was gone. It was a really hard and painful time for my family, just the fact that we couldn't do anything to save her.
